I very pleased to be a new member of Elite Guitarist. I'm from Hampshire in the uk and have been playing acoustic guitar for just over 20 years. A year ago i decided to start having lessons again to improve technique and I wanted to take some exams. My teacher asked me to give him a brief prior to our first lesson in which I said I was more interested in contemporary music and particularly wanted to learn fingerstyle guitar. I had said that classical music wasn't really my thing. I was therefore a bit surprised to be presented a classical piece in our first lesson....the rest is history i guess! im absolutely hooked, now he is trying to introduce modern music and to be honest i would rather stick to classical! This website is great, the selection of music is brilliant, different skill levels and challenges, expert tuition and great knowledge. Im slowly working my way through each and every piece and enjoying every minute. Thanks for having me!
