Greetings, Classical Guitar Friends!
Rather than make comments associated with specific pieces here in the general forum, those specific to each tune we are learning seem better placed in the Comments tab associated with each tune (next to Resources tab). I thought to mention this since several of the pieces I been learning have no comments or a couple of old postings (close to a year ago). This is a place to share what appeals to you about the piece, the accuracy of the music/tab, places you find challenging, and workarounds you might make (like if your hands can't quite spread across 10-inch-wide chords -- that's me :-D).
So far I have been learning and have made comments on the following songs: Romance de los Pinos, Be Thou My Vision, Un Dia en Noviembre, Girl with the Flaxen Hair, Malaguena, Torija, Canon (by Pachelbel), and Canco del Lladre. These Comment tabs are also available on the Instructor bios, videos, and packages (e.g., Intermediate).
I appreciate in advance instructor and student responses on those pieces as we all learn this wonderful music together. And, I hope that you will make some comments of your own about your experience with each tune. Best, Dan
PS: For instructors: One thing that I find challenging with these tutorials is that the interpretation and expression is taught simultaneously with the notes and fingering. I struggle for the first couple of weeks just getting the notes, positions, and fingering down. I try to write on my score about expression, but once I memorize the piece, I don't know that I will read them again or view the tutorials. The best reference for this later is the performance recording you have made. However, I don't know if I will still be able to pick up these nuances that make your renditions so gorgeous. Dan
