The Best

in Classical Guitar

Over the past 3 years ~I have subscribed to couple of Classical Guitar sites. And while each have their strengths they also have their weaknesses. I have felt a lot of frustration in not making progress, except for scales and theory. I appreciate they are important but I want to be able to play tunes. In the past 3 or 4 months I have subscribed to 4 videos ranging from DeVisse's Prelude, Jesu Mans Desiring and a few days ago to Sors Estudio in B Minor.

What can I say - simply the best way to learn classical guitar - for me anyway. At last I feel Im making progress. But I'm also enjoying playing the guitar.

It's the absolute clarity that each video brings - no nonsense, straight to the point. Although I am far from perfect with these pieces I can work on them each day and bring in new pieces too.

Once my existing subscription to another site expires I will be signing up for an annual subsciption with Elite Guitarist.

Finally any plans for further new Intermediate or Beginner pieces? The Advanced is beyond me ...... at the moment ...... but with Elite Guitarist I will get there!

Hi John,

Thanks so much for the kind post. I am so glad to know that EliteGuitarist works for you the way it has been. Thanks for reaffirming our commitment to make tutorials available to people of all levels. In the end, I think what distinguishes our students from students on other platforms, is that our students can actually play the guitar and have a wider repertoire. Although theory and technical development are great assets, in the end they are pretty useless without the context to apply theory and technique. These tutorials are meant to bring the repertoire of the classical guitar within the ability reach of beginner students and I am so glad that they are accomplishing their intended purpose.

Keep up the great work and I look forward to having you be a yearly subscriber; I think you will enjoy and benefit from the resources available to our package subscribers. Yes, we will add a bunch of beginner level pieces over the coming months. On Monday, 2/12 we will record an advanced level tutorial, and a couple of beginner level pieces. I hope these will be of use to you and the other students at EliteGuitarist.
