My name is Mohsin and I am a student of the classical guitar. Today, I wish to share with you a very famous piece by Augustin Barrios which truly changed my life. I can still remember the first time I was drawn in by this heartfelt and pensive piece, which to me depicts longing and a sadness which was never overcome. I have been playing that guitar daily for a few hours a day, both in theory and in practice for around a year and a half now. It all began with this piece. I know that right now I cannot do this piece true justice but with time and daily practice as I have been putting in, one day I will. I hope that you all enjoy it. Feel free to leave comments. All the best to you with your conquest to becoming great classical guitarists.
Thanks for the positive feedback Kevin, it means a lot.
Simply awesome! Beautiful sound coupled with the black & white makes for a great video! Thanks for sharing.
Hi Taso. Thank you very much for your kind words. I am very glad to be a part of this community and to be learning from yourself, Tavi and Ines. It is an amazing opportunity, which at times seems surreal as it gives me and many others not just the chance to learn from you all but also to interact with you. For me this is a great motivator as I have great admiration for your work. I am currently working on polishing "El testament D'amelia" as well as learning "Julia Florida" through your online tutorial. Once I feel comfortable enough with my performances I will be sure to upload them.
I thank you for your time and effort.
Bravo Mohsin!! I agree with Tavi that often times this particular movement is played too fast and without feeling. I think you did a great job and bravo also to Ines for making a great tutorial for EliteGuitarist.com Thanks for being a part of our community here.
Keep posting videos and we will be happy to watch them!
Thanks a lot Tavi. Your words of encouragement keep me and I'm sure all of your students motivated to work a little harder every day. www.Eliteguitarist.com provides a wonderful learning platform where one only need schedule their time efficiently in order to get a thorough technical and theoretical understanding of what is being taught. I thank you and everyone involved for providing this exceptional learning opportunity for me and those who are eager to improve their skills on the classical guitar. Have a nice day.
Mohsin, this is beautifully played! I love your slow and insightful rendition of this Preludio; I think it is often played too fast in performances. As Barrios entered the Montevideo cathedral I imagine he was stricken by the quite solitude he found in the cathedral in contrast to the busy streets outside. Keep up the good work! It's great to have you as a student at www.EliteGuitarist.com
